Know and Understand

Today’s Encouragement is, “Don’t believe me unless I carry out my Father’s work. But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.” John 10:37-38 NLT

Know and understand –

Jesus understood how difficult it would be for anyone to grasp the truth that He was God’s Son, that He and the Father are one (v30).  So here He makes an allowance, a simpler pathway to acceptance, “Even though you don’t believe me, believe the works”!  

Amazing.  By believing Jesus’s works, we can “know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”  

Jesus’ many miracles (and He did far more than those recorded in our Bible) clearly prove that He was Lord over all! Lord, over health, illness, demons, weather, and even death!  And all this was before His miraculous resurrection! 

Today, We are blessed to have the biblical record of His deeds and His words… ‘that we may know and understand’ that Jesus and the Father are One!

Our Father, please help us to accept and believe, even to ‘know and understand’ this truth – You, The Lord our God, are One – Father, Son, and Spirit.
