Hope When I Remember

Today’s Encouragement is, “Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:21-23 NLT

Hope when I remember-

Jeremiah wrote the sorrow-filled book of Lamentations to express his grief and the nation’s sorrow when they were suffering greatly at the hands of their enemies. The book is hard to read because of this great sorrow.  But! Amid this heavy grey fog of grief, this brilliant jewel of God’s Truth emerges!  

This is my Hope- 

He is faithful to us!

His faithful Love never ends!

His mercies never stop!

His faithfulness to us is Great! Far beyond our ability to understand! 

His mercy for us is renewed every morning; it is inexhaustible! 

In the darkest time of his life, as his homeland, the nation he loved, plunged into a death spiral, no food, no worship, no wealth, no joy, no health, no kindness nor compassion… when all around him, all hope seemed lost…

Then he remembered…

Then he had – Hope!

Father God, only You can spark the fire of Hope in the hearts of those who have lost all hope.  We all face dark times; some are unimaginable in their despair… Speak to us, Your words of Hope!  Thank You, Father, for Your Faithfulness, Mercy, and Love for Us! 

Great is His Faithfulness
