If You Ask

Today’s Encouragement is, “O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.” Isaiah 30:19 NLT

If You Ask –

Have you ever seen a loving father watching his child trying to do something challenging?  A patient father waits to be asked for help. Then, when asked, he helps! But he doesn’t do everything for the child. He may delay direct intervention, offer advice and encouragement, and then step in when it is just too much for the child -but he is totally attentive to his son!  He is watching, waiting, interested, concerned, and involved.

In the same way, but ideally and perfectly, God is aware of what we are doing and what we need, and He knows precisely the best way to help!

“He will be gracious if you ask for help.”

So often, when experiencing troubles and trials in life… we ask, “Where are You, God?” “Why is this all happening to me?” “What did I ever do to deserve this?” “What am I doing wrong?”  “Why don’t You help me?”

Have we asked and cried out? Admitted our need for Him?

And when we have asked, we then must Trust Him to help us, wait on Him, and allow Him to do what He knows is best for us in this circumstance.  Because He IS our Perfect Father!

Father God, help us continue to look to You for help. Even though our troubles linger longer than we want, trials continue to press in on us. Help us to Ask, Pray, and Wait as we Trust in You.

I am Not Alone
