Forgive Someone

Today’s Encouragement is, “Then Peter came to him and asked, ‘Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?’ ‘No, not seven times,’ Jesus replied, ‘but seventy times seven!’” Matthew 18:21-22

Forgive Someone –

Would you like to be free from the pain of the past? Freed from both the harm done to you, the harm you’ve done to others, and the harm you’ve caused yourself… you can be.  Free from all of it!

How?

First-

Accept God’s Forgiveness- God has forgiven you! Period! God has (already, now and forever) forgiven us and set us free!

  • Don’t deserve it? No one does!
  • Continue to do the same things? We are all sinners by nature!
  • Don’t believe He could forgive you?  Doesn’t change Him, His promises, or His Grace!

Believe and accept His undeserved forgiveness!  It is essential for our freedom!

Next, my friend, Forgive others! (including yourself!) Once we have realized and accepted His forgiveness… we no longer have the ability or right (though we may try to continue in unforgiveness) to refuse to forgive ourselves and others.

Notice in the parable Matthew 18:21-35 The king (God) First – forgave the massive debt of his servant (that’s us), but the forgiven (freed) servant immediately went out and refused to forgive a very minor debt that was owed to him (the same as you and me not forgiving those who have harmed us), and the king revoked his forgiveness!

My friend, this means our decision not to forgive others or our inability, failure, or refusal… will cost us our eternal souls! Too high a price!

Father, we choose now to accept and embrace Your forgiveness. Give us the strength to truly forgive others and ourselves.

Free Amen

We The Kingdom
