Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 4:12 NLT For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
The Word Is Alive –
Because His Word is alive and powerful, when we read it today, it relates to our concerns, problems, hopes, and needs today. When we read it next year, it speaks to our needs at that time. And it will do the same 1000 years from now because – it is Alive and Powerful! It is God’s Word!
As with all of God’s words, there is more than one meaning, not just some man’s interpretation. Because it is powerful, it is beyond time and unlimited in any way. All other words are truly limited. But His Word applies not only to our natural life but also to the supernatural, spiritual life. It applies to yesterday, today, and eternity…
Not dead words on a page, not ancient thoughts from primitive men, not stale, not outdated… and my friend, there is nothing else like this! No other message is timeless, eternal, alive, and powerful!
Many ‘great people’ have penned interesting, thoughtful, exciting, mesmerizing words… but only God’s word claims to be alive, and then – it delivers!
And Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1). And like the written word of God… He, too, is Alive and Powerful!

Father, we thank You sincerely for Your Word, both written and incarnate. Help us to draw all our wisdom and truth from You.
