Today’s Encouragement is Proverbs 11:24 NLT Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.
Give Freely –
This is ancient wisdom, about 3000 years old. It’s not written by a TV preacher trying to get your money or pleaded by a pastor trying to pay the debt or electricity bill for the church. It’s Truth. God-inspired Truth.
Remember, His ways are not ours. Our way is to cling to our riches to grow richer! We say, “It makes no sense to give others what I have earned!” But we are so often wrong!
God’s wisdom trumps ours by an immeasurable distance! Isaiah 55:9 ESV “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
So, my friend, what do you choose to stand on? Is it the wisdom of the world, what ‘most people consider to be logical,’ or what ‘makes the most sense’ to you?”
Or do you choose to believe what God says?
Friend, when we choose to trust God’s way, His Truth, His Word… we will literally and figuratively “grow all the richer.”
My money is on God. (pun intended)
Father, help us choose to trust and rely on what you have spoken as Truth rather than the wisdom of this world.
