Today’s Encouragement is Romans 15:4 NLT Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
Hope and Encouragement –
Hope and Encouragement need to be fed. Just exactly like our human body needs food, water, and rest… our human spirit needs spiritual food, water, and rest!
And our spiritual food is the scripture (Deuteronomy 8:3). Jesus said, “I am the bread of Life!” (John 6:48). The Bible provides the spiritual nourishment our spiritual life requires… so that our hope and encouragement remain alive, healthy, and strong.
Have you ever met a believer who has lost hope? It is a tragic situation. Like someone who is starving, there comes a point of no return. When no amount of emergency care, no IV infusion of scriptural encouragement, prayer, or other effort by others can restore the starved soul…
My friend, we can feed our spirit on the Word of God. Take in daily, Jesus as the bread of life, and the hope and encouragement of the scriptures.
– So that
– we can have the spiritual strength
– to wait patiently
– for God’s promises
– to be fulfilled.
Keep your Hope and Courage strong. Do not starve your own spirit!
You can never feed too much on God’s nourishment!
But we can feed ourselves too little.
Lord God, we need Your Hope and Encouragement so desperately. Thank You for giving us scripture to help us as we wait patiently for all of Your wonderful promises to be fulfilled!
