Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 2:2 NLT For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
Except Jesus-
What would our lives be like if we were to do this: Forget it all – Except Jesus.
Just as an exercise, a fable, in your imagination, dare to consider this scripture for just a moment…
What if we chose to:
Forget our past, our failures, suffering, pain, victories, even the joys.
Forget our present needs – our current problems, concerns, hopes and dreams, even our prayers.
Forget our future hopes – what we long for, for ourselves and for others.
Forget all that we’ve learned, all history, personal experiences, all knowledge.
And finally, we are left with what we cannot, will not, forget… we will choose to remember… Jesus alone.
He is our Peace
Our Redeemer
Our Savior
Our Friend
Our Counselor
Our Bread of Life
Our Living Water
He is Love
He is all we need.
Father God, we cannot thank You enough for Jesus, for Who He is, for what He did, and for all He still does for us, Your people. Thank You, Father, for Jesus.
Only Jesus
