Today’s Encouragement is, “All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.” 1 John 4:15 NLT
God Living In Them –
Our three-dimensional world resists the ideas of God’s Truth. We must see and touch and taste with our senses (our limited human senses), and understand within the parameters of our logic, our ‘common sense.’ We can accept some ideas, outside of these limitations, but only from learned men, or our greatest god, the almighty Science!
Yet, God is not subject to His own creations. He created our senses, our logical minds, and even created science itself. And all these are limited!
But Faith is unlimited.
God’s ways and His thoughts are infinitely higher and greater than ours. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Our logical minds cannot fathom – God living in us, nor us living in God. We try to conceptualize these words, but we lack the capacity.
In order to grow in faith, we must set aside our human senses and even logic. We must choose to be led by our belief, our faith, the leading of our heart.
How can a baby be born to a virgin?
How can a crucified man return to life?
How can a man be born again?
How can a mortal man put on immortality?
These human impossibilities are all possible with God.
And so is this passage. All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God (only possible by faith) have God living in them (by faith), and they live in God (by faith).
Thank You, Father, for revealing Your Truth to us, even as we are limited by our human capacity. Help us choose faith, to trust in what Your Word teaches us.
