Today’s Encouragement is, “Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.” 1 John 4:14 NLT
Sent His Son –
We all know this –
God the Father
Sent His Son, Jesus
To be the Savior
Of the world.
God initiated this entire process. Just like He created this world, just as He called Moses (a savior) to lead His people out is slavery to Egypt, just as He chose David (as savior) to be the next King of Israel. He decided it was time to send His Son (The Savior).
His Son. He could have chosen some other way. But – No other plan would have demonstrated His immeasurable Love for us. No mere human being, chosen by God, even one like Moses or David, could have died for us. Even if he had, it would be just another death; no matter how spectacular his life had been, his death would have been ordinary. It had to be His Son.
Imagine the scene, God the Father one day, turns to Jesus the Son, and begins to speak, but Jesus, already knowing everything, responds, before a word is spoken, “Yes Father, Your will be done. It is time.” And thus began the final step of God’s plan to save the world.
God – So – Loved… (John 3:16)
Thank You, Father God, for perfectly Loving us – so much – that You Sent Your Son, who laid down His life for us so that we could be saved, and live forever with You.
