Today’s Encouragement is, “And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.” 1 John 4:13 NLT
God Has Given –
God has (past tense) already given.
He has given us (we cannot earn) His Spirit.
His Spirit, God’s gift, lives in us.
His Spirit is the proof.
That we live in Him.
And it is proof that He lives in us.

The Spirit is not a special gift for certain ’really good’ Christians! It is God’s gift to all who believe in Jesus. And like any gift, it can be accepted or rejected, embraced or ignored, used properly or abused. These are our choices. But unlike any other gift, His Spirit has the power to transform our lives!
And it is inarguable. God Has Given!
Our proper, wise, and grateful response is to fully accept, appreciate, and embrace this immeasurably good and perfect gift.
“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father.” James 1:17a NLT
Father, as always, we cannot adequately express our gratitude in words. Help us instead demonstrate our appreciation for Your wonderful gift of Your Spirit, which now, already lives in us, by listening to and obeying Him.
