Been With Jesus

Today’s Encouragement is, “The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 NLT

Been With Jesus – 

Wait, aren’t we talking about the great disciples of Christ, Peter, and John?  They lived with Him for years, heard Him preach with their own eyes, and witnessed miracle after miracle!  Weren’t they holy? Perfect? Floating-on-a-cloud-Apostles-of-Jesus?  

No, my friend!  They were still – ordinary.  Except, they had – Been With Jesus!  

When anyone has ‘Been With Jesus’…  all bets are off! Everything is different!  We cannot help but be transformed (Romans 12:2) as we spend time in His presence!  

We have ‘Been With Jesus’ when we pray, open His Word, and listen to His Truth in the Word. When we ask, He will always speak to us through His Word, exactly as we need to hear. He wants to be with us! 

Want to be like Peter and John… an ordinary person who has ‘Been With Jesus?’

Thank You, our Wonderful Father, for giving us the opportunity to Be With Jesus today.  Help us to determine to make the time, pray, open Your Word, and listen to Your Truth. And to take full advantage of every opportunity to …Be With Jesus.
