Today’s Encouragement is, “That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.’ (10) But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NLT
God Revealed –
Too often, we stop after verse 9. And we refer to this verse and say, “We cannot even imagine what God has prepared for us! While this is true, that’s only part of the Truth! Because the next sentence explains that He has (already, now) revealed this to us by His Spirit! Really?
This revelation is not visible to the flesh; the human eye doesn’t see it, our ears cannot hear it, and our minds cannot imagine it, but God has revealed it!
God revealed –
These things – What things? The things that God has prepared for those who love Him!
By His Spirit-
With Spiritual sight, we can glimpse what He has revealed to us. We know that God has prepared a place for us with Him in Paradise. There will be no more tears, no more pain, no regret, no sin, no sorrow. We will be at peace with God, with ourselves, and with every other person, and all of nature. And so much more!
Lord, we pray as Jesus did, “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.” Matthew 11:25
