Today’s Encouragement is, “So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” 1 Peter 5:10b NLT
A Little While –
I didn’t write this; God did, through Peter. If I had my way, I’d say that God will make sure that you never have to suffer anything at all, and God will isolate you from all pain and suffering for all of your life on this earth.
But I ain’t God, and neither are you! We are ‘stuck with’ what He has said! So we need to understand it, trust it, and choose to believe it.
Please take an extra sixty seconds and read the preceding paragraph in 1 Peter 5:6-10.
And take note of the progression of our relationship and attitude:
Humble yourself,
Wait for Him to lift you up, and
Give Him all your worries.
God cares about you!
Watch out for the devil. He’s our enemy and is after anyone he can get.
Stand firm! Resist him!
Remember, you are not alone.
God is kind, and He has called you, and
you will share in God’s Glory because of Jesus!
Remember our suffering is only for – a little while.
Thank You, Father, that You know exactly what we need at every moment, every season of our lives. And thank You that our suffering is only… for a little while.
