Once For All

Today’s Encouragement is, “Unlike those other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices every day. They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people. But Jesus did this once for all when he offered himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins.” Hebrews 7:27 NLT

Once For All – 

When Jesus died for you and me, and for everyone who will believe in Him, it was complete, finished, and final.  His one perfect sacrifice has completely paid for all, for every possible debt of sin, every glimpse of shame, every thought of remorse, every punishment we deserve for our actions and thoughts.  Perfectly, completely covered by His Immeasurable suffering, once for all.  It will never be repeated!  

One man, fully God and fully man, endured the excruciating cross: once for all time, one man for all of mankind! 

My friend, our every sin, past, present, and future, intentional and accidental, no matter how terrible, unforgivable, and shameful it is… was paid for in full by Jesus.  Because He is perfect, the sacrifice is perfect, and the forgiveness is perfect and eternal! Once for all! 

We can now live as the blessed, cleansed, confident, and content children of the King! We may be tempted to look back on our sin and think we are being punished for it, but this is not even possible! Because all the punishment that we deserve has been delivered and perfectly borne by Jesus Himself. Furthermore, our sins, paid for by Jesus’ death, have been forgotten! “I will never again remember their sins.” Hebrews 8:12b

Father, help us to rest in the truth of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice for us, Once For All!
