Today’s Encouragement is, “Then he said to me, ‘Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!’” Ezekiel 37:4-5 NLT
Put Breath Into You –
The nation was devastated; the people were without hope, spiritually dead, lifeless, only dry bones, like skeletons! Not just dead; their bones were dry!
Have you ever been spiritually dry? Feeling hopeless, even lifeless? Then listen with your spiritual ears to God’s words. “I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!”
In this allegory, God made His people alive again by putting breath into them. Remember what Jesus did in the last hours with His disciples? “Then he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” John 20:22 NLT
In this way, God breathes Life into His people, and this Breath, this Life, is another expression of His Holy Spirit.
My friend, we are alive because He has given us breath! We have physical and spiritual life because we belong to Him. He has given us this breath, Life, and His Holy Spirit.
We may not feel it, sense it, or understand it, but we can choose to accept it. It is a decision, based on Faith, not on feelings.
Father, we thank You for giving us Life, Your Breath within our physical and spiritual lungs and bodies. You are Life! Help us to embrace Your Life within us, bringing health, strength, and joy – Your vibrant Life.
