Today’s Encouragement is, “The LORD is my light and my salvation- so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” Psalm 27:1 NLT
My Salvation –
At times, we just need to have a little talk with ourselves.
Hear David as he speaks God’s Truth, wisdom, protection, and blessing – to himself!
Why am I afraid? Why am I trembling? The Lord is MY light, MY salvation, and My fortress… Self! You have nothing to fear!
We all sometimes get overrun by emotions, external circumstances, and, well, just life! And we can lose sight of His Eternal Truth! Yes, life happens, bad things, good things, accidents, blessings; these are all part of this earthly life. But – His Eternal Truth is – God Loves YOU! And we can be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God, by faith in Jesus Christ as the One who Saves us! That’s His Truth, and Forever Truth!
And it is Jesus who is the Light, our Salvation, our Fortress, our help!
So why should we be afraid or tremble? Well, we have no other option when we take our eyes off Him. We’re stumbling, bumbling, and flopping around like a just landed fish on the deck of a boat. Without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5)
But my friends – He is our Salvation! And we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength! (Philippians 4:13)
Lord Jesus, help us to return to Your Truth daily, to remember that You are with us and for us! And You alone are all we need!
