Stand Firmly –
We are challenged to continue to believe the Truth presented in God’s Word. Too often, we believe that, because we have accepted Christ as Savior and placed our trust in Him, we are ‘just fine’ with spiritual matters; we don’t need to bother with ‘all of that’ anymore. While it is true that faith in Him is our salvation, our faith must continue to grow, especially as the difficulties and troubles of this earthly life inevitably arise.
We are often tempted to drift away, doubt, and turn aside, in small ways or in terribly important ways. When we drift, we are replacing our solid footing of faith with the shifting sands of wandering wasteland. These temptations are unlimited, yet there is only one narrow way (Matthew 7:14) to Truth.
So, how to stand firmly? Choose to continue to believe the Truth! Learn more about the Truth and place all your hope and confidence in it! The word of God teaches the Truth; Jesus Himself is the Truth.
Father, we need You always; we can’t do anything without You (John 15:5). Help us continue to Stand Firmly in the Truth of Jesus!
