Working In You –
God is doing the work. He is working in us. He is transforming, renewing, and cleansing us… He is doing it!
Our part is acceptance. Willingly obeying, faithfully listening, hearing, and responding in faithfulness.
But the hard work, the strength, power, purpose, and direction… all come from His unlimited resources!
We often are frustrated at our inability to do, say, or think what we ought. And this is a good thing! Our frustration reveals that we recognize that we know the good we ought to do, and we are displeased by the evil that we do instead! (Romans 7:18)
God’s grace is sufficient for our every failure. He is not surprised by, nor is He disappointed by, our weaknesses. He already knows who we are! And He chooses, because of Jesus, to continue to live within us, working in us, giving us the desire and the power to do what pleases Him!
Thank You, Father, for such extraordinary grace! That You work in us to empower us to please You! Thank You for Who You are and all that You are already doing within us!
