Dare to Hope –
Jeremiah wrote the despair-filled book of Lamentations to express his own grief and sorrow for the nation. They were suffering terribly at the cruel hands of their enemies. The book is hard to read because of this great sorrow. But God!
In the midst of this heavy grey fog of grief emerges this brilliant jewel of hope – God’s Truth!
This, we dare to Hope-
He is faithful to us!
His faithful Love never ends!
His mercies never stop!
His faithfulness to us is Great! And far beyond our ability to understand!
His mercy for us is renewed every morning; it is inexhaustible!
In the darkest time of his life, as his homeland, the nation he loved plunged into a death spiral, no food, no worship, no wealth, no joy, no health, no kindness nor compassion… when all around him, all hope seemed lost…
Then he remembered…
Then he dared to have Hope!
Father God, only You can spark the fire of Hope in the hearts of those who have lost all hope. We all face dark times; some are unimaginable in their despair… Speak to us Your words of Hope! Thank You Father for Your Faithfulness, Mercy, and Love for us! Every morning, You offer us new Mercy! We will dare to hope in You!
