Today’s Encouragement is, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6 NLT
Pray about Everything –
It seems like I am bombarding heaven with my lengthy prayer list. With prayers to bless this person, save that one, heal these people, I thought, “Don’t You get tired of me, Lord?”
He said, “Never! You may tire of praying, become discouraged by my timeframe, be confused by, or even angry with my Ways, but I do not become so with you! Because you are mine, I know your ways and limitations, and I am never surprised by or annoyed with anything that you say or do. I know you, and I love you perfectly.”
This same beautiful, grace-filled, perfect Father Love of our God is extended to all of us, because of Jesus. When God looks at you and me, He sees us hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3) and completely pure, cleansed, and innocent as a newborn infant (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We are given the incredible privilege to pray about everything, anything, anytime, anywhere, in any way! Freed from worry (because God knows what we need before we ask), we are free to honestly tell Him what we need, and do this in a grateful attitude, thanking Him appropriately and sincerely for “all He has (already) done!”
Father, Your kindness and goodness to us are overwhelming! Thank You for Jesus!
Thank You for the privilege of prayer, for hearing our every prayer, about everything. Help us to live in sincere gratitude for You, for Jesus, for our forgiveness, for freedom, “for all You have done!”
