We Can Boldly Enter

Today’s Encouragement is, “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.” Hebrews 10:19-20 NLT

We Can Boldly Enter –

The veil or curtain in the Temple is a wonderful example of subtle statements or concepts in the Bible that have great meaning. (but truthfully, every word has great meaning!)

In the first tabernacle, God instructed Moses to separate the holiest place from the rest of His holy temple.  In that Holy of Holies area, the Ark of the Covenant was placed. The Ark represented God’s Presence on the earth and with His chosen people.  Centuries later, when Solomon built the first Temple in Jerusalem, this same model was followed, and an elaborate, huge veil was placed between the Ark in the holiest place and the holy place.

Finally, centuries later, when Jesus died on the cross, a single phrase is mentioned that has amazing imagery and truth for us today. “And the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.” Mark 15:38

As if the hand of God had reached to earth to remove forever the curtain, the barrier between God and man, from the top to the bottom… the veil was torn!  There is now nothing that separates us from God!

Nothing can separate us from God’s Love (Romans 8:39)!

Thank You, Father, that You have torn the veil, removed the barrier, and “opened a new and life-giving way” for Your dearly loved people to boldly enter into “heaven’s Most Holy Place,” Your Presence, “because of the blood of Jesus!”
