Today’s Encouragement is, “For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.” Hebrews 6:10 NLT
Shown Your Love –
By caring for and loving other believers, we show our love to God.
Let that sink in.
God sees and knows us. He is entirely and perfectly aware of our every thought and action. He isn’t fooled by anyone. He knows! So, when we help others, care for and about, that is, when we demonstrate Love for others… we are demonstrating, living out, our Love for God!
We don’t Love God by fancy church services with beautiful clothes and celestial music, this is our human pomp and ceremony! Nor do we Love Him by any self-sacrifice or good deeds done to accumulate points!
Although anything done with the honest intention of serving Him by serving others has immense value! Even giving a cup of water (Mark 9:41) or two small coins (Mark 12:44) has great value when the heart is in the right place, when Love is the motivation and intention!
We Love God by Loving others; this is the way that we express our Love for God.
“We Love because He First loved us!” (1 John 4:19)
Thank You, Father, for Your incredible Love. Help us to first – accept, believe, and trust Your perfect Love – and then to Love others as You have Loved us.
