Love Fulfills –
It is undeniable that the Bible is filled with Love. Of course, there are other things, concepts, and truths, in fact, a huge amount! But the underlying and overlaying Truth about God is His Love for us, His Love in us, and His love for others through us!
Someone wiser than I observed that the Ten Commandments all relate to Love; the first four relate to our love for Him, and the last six to our love for others. So as today’s verse explains, “Love Fulfills” these requirements!
This verse is key to understanding the Love of God. “We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John 4:19 It is His Love which comes first, then when we receive and accept His Love, it flows into us, filling us, and then inevitably, His Love flows out of us to others.
And this Love fulfills all of God’s commandments, all the requirements, all His best desires for us… all fulfilled through Love!
Is it possible, my friend, that all our greatest joys, blessings, gifts, kindness, our every need and desire… are all fulfilled – by Love!
Father, You have so graciously given us Your immeasurable Love, so perfectly demonstrated in Jesus. Through His birth, life, death, and resurrection, You portray the truth of Your Love for us. Help us to recognize the Love You have for us, to accept it, and to live a life filled and overflowing with Your Love.
