Pleading For Us

Today’s Encouragement is, “Who then will condemn us? No one-for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.” Romans 8:34 NLT

Pleading For us –

God is For us v31

No one can accuse us v 33

No one can condemn us v 34

Pretty Good News, huh?

Maybe it’s not new information, but it is Truth! And in this world of lies, half-truths, and confusion, we need to remind ourselves of The Truth often!

Notice the change in the tense of this verse. In the past tense, “Jesus died for us” and

“was raised to life for us.”

But now, in the present tense, today and continuing forever… “He is (now) sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand,” And He is now “pleading for us.”

Is it possible that Jesus doesn’t have to say anything to our Father to plead for us?  His presence beside God in the “place of honor” is the plea.  He Himself is our right standing, our forgiveness, our cleansing. Because of Jesus, we are free from any and all condemnation!

My friend, sometimes we condemn ourselves, “I’ll never quit this… I’m no good. I’m not a very good Christian.  This is just the way God made me. Nobody’s perfect.“ Say no to all these lies, and yes to the Truth of God’s word!

Thank You, Jesus, for all You’ve done for us! Thank You for pleading for us so that we remain forever free of all condemnation!

Because of Jesus
