If God Is For Us

Today’s Encouragement is, “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Romans 8:31 NLT

If God is For Us –

We just read in v 20-30, that God brought us into His own family and blessed us with His Glory! (Unimaginable!) These wonderful truths about God’s purpose, plans, and provision for us, His own adopted people, are truly blessed. What can we say in response? 

If God is for us, this isn’t “maybe He is for us,” or “He might choose to be for us at times and against us at other times,” but rather the sense is, because of these astounding truths, we see clearly that God IS for us, without question, always! He has made us His own! As our Perfect Loving Father, He is always FOR us! 

Even when the prodigal son was wasting his life and his father’s money, the father eagerly watched for him to return home (Luke 15:20), because he was his son! In the same way, Our Father is FOR us! Waiting and watching! 

He is also all-powerful, omnipotent! So that whatever giants we may face, like Goliath, God was FOR David, and He delivered the entire nation of His people with David’s slingshot!

At times, we cannot see it, trouble, sorrow, pain, and the many trials of life surround us, and it seems the entire world is against us. (Jesus acknowledged this in John 16:33.) It certainly seems so, but it only seems so. Because we know the Truth is…

God is for us! 

Father, strengthen our faith, help us to remember Your Truth, Love, and promises, regardless of the circumstances of our earthly lives.
