Today’s Encouragement is, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” Romans 8:26-27 NLT
The Spirit Helps –
We have God’s great gift, the Holy Spirit of God, residing, living, dwelling within our lives. Of course, this is a spiritual, not physical presence. We may or may not sense it, feel it, or even be conscious of His Presence, but our senses and feelings are not facts. God’s Word alone is Truth!
This Spirit helps us and prays for us when we don’t have the words, strength, or presence of mind to pray. He is God’s presence dwelling, living, always, within us!
At times, we don’t know what to pray, but the Spirit does, always, and He pleads for us in harmony with God’s will, the perfect prayer!
Can’t understand it? Good! God’s ways are beyond human understanding (Isaiah 55:8-9). As believers, we live by Faith, not understanding, not what we see or feel or sense. And God says, “He will never leave us nor forsake us!” (Hebrews 13:5 ESV)
We can rest in God’s presence living within us! He helps us in every way! We simply need to turn to Him, trust in Him, rely on Him, and acknowledge Him.
Father, we thank You for the assurance that Your Word provides us. Help us to recognize and accept Your Spirit’s presence within our lives, and so be helped, in every way.
