Today’s Encouragement is, “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.” Romans 8:18-19 NLT
We clearly will endure suffering. God doesn’t sugarcoat the truth. “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33b NLT. He doesn’t provide anyone with a blissful earthly existence because we are all sinners living in a fallen, sinful world.
But – by His Grace – some people have believed, and more will believe, in Christ! And we few, the chosen believers, will be revealed one day to the world! All creation is eagerly waiting for this!
Yes, we suffer now, in this life, in many ways. For some, the suffering is unimaginable; for others, it is not. All attempts to explain this are futile.
But God’s truth provides us with the proper perspective… “what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.” (v18)
And “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” 2 Corinthians 4:17
One day, all the troubles of this life will melt away in a distant memory, when we are all revealed as His Children! We will live in His Glory forever!
Thank You, Father, for providing us the true perspective on our suffering, for assuring us that our suffering will one day end, and even be forgotten, in the light of Your Glory, as we are revealed as Your dearly loved Children!
