Heirs of God’s Glory –
God’s Word is astounding! Truths like this are so powerful and overwhelming, yet we often skim over, breeze by them.
Together with Christ – we are, you know, together with Him, we are united with Him! We are IN Christ, and He is IN us. Jesus prayed, “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one, as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.” John 17:21 NLT
An heir is the chosen, selected recipient of property, title, or position from a parent.
Do you hear this? Can you accept it? We are heirs, selected, chosen, adopted by God to inherit- everything! His Kingdom, all possessions, earthly and heavenly! And even more amazing — His Glory! We, along with Jesus, will inherit the Glory of God!
Just as the children of the wealthy don’t yet own their inheritance until it becomes fully theirs, we don’t (yet) see, sense, or feel our heirship, our true and rightful position as Heirs of God’s Glory along with Jesus. But it is Truth, it is Reality, it is God’s Word!
Father, Your goodness to us, Your chosen people, is just too much! We are overwhelmed! That You would allow us, by Your Grace, to be heirs with Christ of Your Glory! We cannot begin to fathom such a concept! But, by Faith, Lord, we can choose to believe!
