Today’s Encouragement is, “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’ For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.” Romans 8:14-16 NLT
We Are God’s Children –
We know that! But we need to remind ourselves occasionally of the Truth! That’s why regular Bible reading, prayer, and fellowship with believers is so important. Because we forget, we get off track, and we need to reset, reboot, and return to our first love. (Rev 2:4)
God Himself has drawn us to Him. His work, not ours.
He has chosen and adopted us to be His children, His family, and heirs.
He has given us His Spirit; not someday, not based on our merit, but now- already. His Spirit does not make us fearful slaves, but instead makes us –
God’s. Own. Chosen. Family.
We now have the privilege of seeing Him as our Father, our Abba, our Daddy, and our Perfect Father, untainted by our earthly fathers. And as our Perfect Father, He loves us; He provides, protects, develops, guides, strengthens, plans, supports, cares, watches over, and He saves us. Every moment of our earthly life and into eternity with Him…
Our Father, thank You for choosing us, adopting us, and making us Your family. We are amazed when we consider Your kindness, Your Perfect Love for us. Help us to always remember You as our dad, and all these Truths.
