Life And Peace –
We choose. Let. Allow.
Daily. Moment by Moment.
We decide.
Either the sinful nature or the Spirit of God will control our minds. One leads to death, the other leads to life and peace. There are only these two options, not a myriad of paths to life and peace… only one way. There’s no other option of doing ‘my own thing’, ‘finding my own way’, ‘letting nature take its course’, or any other direction, plan, course, or decision. Just one decision. One is life; any other is death.
How? How do we let the Holy Spirit of God control our minds? Choose to love, obey, and commit ourselves to God. “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life.” Deuteronomy 30:19-20a NLT
“The key to Life.” “This leads to Life and Peace!” Why would we look anywhere else?
Father God, may we always choose Life; to let Your Spirit control our minds, and lead us in our every decision and direction. Help us, Lord, by your immeasurable power.
