The Greatest –
Love, the Bible is filled with it:
God so Loved – John 3:16
Nothing can separate us from God’s Love – Romans 8:39
Love God, Love your neighbor, Love yourself – Matthew 22:38-39
Love never fails – 1 Corinthians 13:8
We each live these earthly lives pursuing something. We are all chasing, working for, striving for something. Ever stop to consider what it is that you are after? Is it a successful career (What is your definition of success?) A particular financial goal? Perhaps it’s a better car, better house, better job, better spouse, better church, better life… better anything?
There’s nothing inherently wrong with pursuing these things! But what really matters? What is most important, the Greatest?
It is Love. Not merely romantic love, family, friendship, not the pleasures of life that we ‘love’, but Real Love! (1 John 4:10) God’s Love.
Only God’s Love is real, pure, and perfect. And it is 100% available to each of us. We don’t work for, earn, or achieve it. We simply accept it and allow it to be first in our lives.
For those who believe in Jesus, our hearts are already filled with His Love! (Romans 5:5b) As with all spiritual matters, we may not feel it, sense it, or recognize it, but these human limitations do not change His eternal truth.
Lord, we long to know Your Real Love, to experience it, accept it, live in it, and – to share it. Help us to choose today, to live in Your Love. Thank You, Lord.
