Today’s Encouragement is “So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:21 NLT
Grace Rules-
In the time before Christ, anyone who wanted to please God and was burdened by guilt and shame for their sin was allowed to make sacrificial offerings of various types to relieve themselves of this guilt, by doing as the law required. This was the time referred to here as ‘sin ruled over all people and brought them to death,’ before Christ.
But – now that ‘eternal life through Jesus has come’, He is the pathway to Peace between God and Man; He created righteousness for mankind, the restoration of a genuine, close, personal, forgiving, accepting Father-to-child relationship for all who will believe in Him.
And now, for all believers, it is God’s wonderful grace that rules! His Grace is now in control of our life, and our relationship with Him is under the rule of Grace, and not of sin! Now, shame, guilt, fear, doubt, and any sin that separates us from God is no longer in control! We are not ‘subject to the rule’ of Sin, in any form! Instead, Now, because of Christ… Grace rules!
Friends, this means for you and me today –
Shame is a lie- because Grace rules.
Guilt is erased- because Grace rules.
Sin is powerless- because Grace rules.
Death is defeated- because Grace rules.
Fear is impotent- because Grace rules.
Thank You Father that we are now free to rest in Your abundant Love – because – Grace rules.
