Rely On Grace

Today’s Encouragement is, “Many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, and the two men urged them to continue to rely on the grace of God.” Acts 13:43 NLT

Rely on Grace –

What, or whom, do we rely on?  Is it family, friends, or yourself?  Maybe it is the government, elected leaders, the latest spokesperson, or influencer of the day? Is it great thinkers, philosophers, or religious leaders of today or yesterday? My friend, all these will come and go! Every few years, our friends, leaders, teachers, and preachers come – and then they go!

(I don’t know about you, but relying on myself has never worked out too well for me, either!)

The disciples of Jesus brought the truth to the people they visited, urging them to continue relying on the grace of God.  This grace is Jesus!  He is the grace, the unmerited, undeserved, illogical favor, love, and forgiveness of God.  “Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17b ESV).

He is the Only One we can rely on!  So, choose to continue to rely on God’s Grace through Jesus.

Let the urging of His followers be your call to faithfulness.  Rely on Him!  He has done everything that ever needs to be done! We simply need to trust Him, rely on Him, and all He has done, is doing, and will continue to do.

Father, we thank You that we can continue to rely on Jesus, the source of Your Grace. He is the One we rely on.  No one and nothing else will do, and He is more than enough.

Your Grace is Enough
