Christ Lives In Me

Today’s Encouragement is, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 NLT

Christ Lives In Me –

As a believer in Christ, our value, our worth, is not in what we own, not what work we do or once did, it is not even determined by our good deeds nor our sin! It is not in what others think of us, nor what they say to or about us.

No amount of affirmation from others will ever satisfy my own emotional needs because we are created to need more!

God designed us to need more than approval from others, family, and friends, more than self-acceptance, self-respect, or self-approval.  These have value, but they are not enough on their own.

We are made to need Christ. And are incomplete without Him!

Instead of seeking the approval of self or others, we must seek our identity from the Father’s Love.  His Love is- Timeless, without expectation. He fully recognizes who we are (much more clearly than we know ourselves!) and yet… while He sees clearly the naked, ugly truth of our identity… He still chooses to accept, embrace, and love us unconditionally – only because Christ lives in me!

And this is the determination of our value – Christ living within us- is our identity!

Thank You, Father, that Jesus fulfills and meets our every need. You alone define us.
