Living Hope

Today’s Encouragement is, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3 ESV

Living Hope-

We are – already, now – born again, according to God’s mercy, not according to our worthiness or unworthiness. And we are born again – to – something… to a Living Hope… a Hope in Jesus, His Salvation, His Redemption, His Love and Mercy for us… and all this comes through Him, through Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.  

When Jesus was resurrected, everything changed! Death was defeated, Sin was banished, our enemy put in his place… and a way was made for us to be born again to a Living Hope!  Jesus IS Alive; He is Living now, still, and forever! He is our Living Hope!

If you have ever lost Hope, for whatever reason, or ever considered giving up Hope, you have a clearer idea of how critical Hope is to life.  It is said that people who ‘give up Hope’ don’t live very long.  It seems Hope is essential to life.  

People place their Hope in many different things, but all those will fail!  Only Jesus never fails!

Jesus Christ is:

Savior 

Friend

Brother 

Prince of Peace 

Lord of all Lords

King of all Kings

Eternal 

Returning 

And 

He is our Living Hope!

And we, who are born again, are born into Jesus, into this Living Hope. 

Thank You, Father God, for the immeasurable gift of Jesus, our Living Hope.
