Today’s Encouragement is, “But then I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.” Psalm 77:11 NLT
I Remember –
How long has it been since you consciously, intentionally sat down and remembered? When have you considered the wonderful deeds of God, His goodness to all His people, and the many blessings that God has given to you?
My blessings include:
Salvation
Eternal Life
Forgiveness
Forgotten sin
God’s Love
The Bible
Faith
Peace
Love
Mercy
Grace
Food, clothing, shelter
Health
Family
Friendships
My Spiritual family
Perfection before Almighty God (through faith in Jesus)
…And that’s just a start!
I admit, somewhat ironically, that I still keep a long list of prayer requests, for myself and others, that remain unanswered. But if I never have another answered prayer, it is enough!
Dayenu (“It Would Have Been Enough”) is a traditional Hebrew song of gratitude, typically sung during Passover. The song remembers a list of God’s blessings and ends each line with the word dayenu — “it would have been enough.”
Try it! Remember God’s many blessings, make a list, and express your gratitude to Him. This is a very effective antidote to depression, fear, loneliness, and a host of other spiritual ailments. Remember, be grateful, and thank Him.
Thank You, Lord Jesus! If You had ‘only’ laid down Your life to give me eternal life, it would have been enough! I will choose to remember Your immeasurable love for me.
If You Never
