Today’s Encouragement is, “The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.” John 20:30-31 NLT
These Are Written –
The disciples saw Jesus do many other miracles. We have a record of some of what He did! Some of the words He spoke!
But these miraculous signs are written so that –
We may believe!
Believe that Jesus is the Messiah! The Son of God! And as we believe in Him, we have life in His Name!
The many miracles of the Bible demonstrate the power of God and Jesus, His Son. They demonstrate His complete control over nations, rulers, individuals, nature, life, death, and the human spirit. They also reveal His character, nature, love, and compassion for individuals and nations. His miracles are full of kindness, compassion, and God’s Love.
More than just to ‘wow’ us, the miraculous works of God throughout the Bible are intended to give us faith in God, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
And His miracles are still all around us today. God continues to demonstrate His power and love.
Do we remember those that are written? Do they lead us to continue to believe in Jesus? And by believing in Jesus, we have life by the power of His Name.
Father, help us remember the power and love of Your miracles, and the greatest miracle of all, our salvation, our life by the power of Jesus’ Name.
