Today’s Encouragement is, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!” Psalm 139:6 NLT
Too Wonderful-
In this Psalm, David writes about God’s perfect and complete knowledge of… everything! He knows everything about us, when we sit, when we stand, and when we lie down… He even knows the words we will say before we speak…
And this same God (v5) goes before me and follows me. He places His hand of blessing on my head.
As David writes these words, he is overcome, overwhelmed, and overshadowed by the wonder of our God… and in this state, he recognizes how truly vast, and yet amazingly intimate, our God really is. David can only say, ‘Father God, You are too wonderful, too magnificent, this knowledge of You is too much for me, I am overwhelmed by You!’
This is Worship, the proper understanding of our God, recognizing how wonderful He is, and worshiping Him because of His greatness.
Lord, when we see, through eyes of faith, how immeasurably magnificent You are, and then how tenderly You care for us. Truly, such knowledge is too wonderful for us, mere humans, to understand. Father, all we can say is Thank You, we Praise You! You are so wonderful! You truly are magnificent! Our words fail to express Your glory!!
