Today’s Encouragement is, “When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” John 14:3 NLT
Come and Get You –
Imagine for a moment that you learn that, one day, you will move to an entirely new place, another country. One that you know very little about and is far away. You are told that you will be delighted there, the weather is beautiful, and the people are friendly and loving. The government is excellent, and life is perfect. There is no sadness, no sickness, no pain there at all! It’s literally Paradise!
Preparing for Paradise! It would make sense to sell your possessions (Luke 12:33). You will acquire new possessions there.
Leave behind friends and family (Luke 14:26). New friends and family await you.
Give up your life (Luke 9:23), essentially everything you have and know, for the sake of the new world and its King!
The truth is – One day, (see today’s verse) Jesus will knock on the door of your life, greet you with His warm smile and His perfect Love, and say, “Come with me, your place is ready, and ‘you will always be with me where I am.’”
Father, such truth is too wonderful for us to imagine. Help us to take Your Word by faith, to trust all that You have said and promised us, to find comfort and peace in the reality of eternity with You! And help us to prepare our lives now, for that wonderful moment – when Jesus comes for us!
