Today’s Encouragement is, “Follow my advice, my son; always treasure my commands. Obey my commands and live! Guard my instructions as you guard your own eyes. Tie them on your fingers as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart.” Proverbs 7:1-3 NLT
Write Them Deep –
We can have a really nice Bible sitting on the shelf. It has no effect on us. We might read it occasionally and think, “Hmm, that’s nice.” It has no effect on us.
We might read with interest and gain great knowledge about God and Jesus from the Bible. It may still have little to no effect on us.
But oh, my friend, when we write His word “deep within our hearts,” when we ACCEPT and BELIEVE His Love, Grace, Truth, and the promises He brings… when we make it ours, considering it to be a personal letter from God to me! Then, we have written His word deep within our hearts!
Every good promise, every blessing, every hope, and every mercy is for His beloved children. And YOU are His beloved Child, chosen, washed clean, and adopted. So, write His word deep within your heart – accept and believe His promises. Make His words your own.
Thank you, Father, for loving us so much that you provided that Your words would be preserved through centuries, just so we could know You better and write Your words deep within our hearts.
