Today’s Encouragement is, [Jesus said,] “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.” John 16:13-14 NLT
He will tell you –
Did Jesus ever lie, exaggerate, deceive, or trick us? Didn’t He always speak the Truth to us?
He said, the Holy Spirit will –
Guide us into all truth,
Tell us what He has heard, and
Tell us whatever He has received from Jesus.
Again, is this just preaching nice words, or is Jesus revealing the Truth to us?
The Holy Spirit is often neglected, ignored, and sometimes even concealed from us by our teachers. He is challenging to describe, and even more difficult to explain, so many teachers choose to avoid the subject.
He is God! The Holy Spirit is God, just as Jesus is, and the Father. We can hear His voice, receive truth, listen to Him, and grow in relationship with Him. He is God’s presence dwelling, living, and existing in us!
He told us as He was preparing to die, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth.” (John 14:16-17a)
Father, we long to grow in our relationship with You! We long to hear Your voice. Speak to us through all means, including Your Holy Spirit! We ask in Jesus’ Name.
