Today’s Encouragement is, “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” Hebrews 3:13 NIV
Encourage One Another –
Daily! We can encourage each other! Other translations read, “exhort”, or “warn” each other. This is God’s message to us through others, through His people.
Of course, any message of warning, encouragement, or exhortation must align with God’s Word, His character, and His Love. So, we study His Word to learn who He is, and then we know how to evaluate the message we receive through His people.
In addition to His Word, He also provides discernment to us, so we are able to distinguish His Truth from “sin’s deceitfulness” and recognize the carefully crafted lies of our enemy.
With all these cautions in mind, what a blessing it is to receive God’s truth, love, and wisdom through His people! He is unlimited in His creative power to communicate with us – in any way He chooses.
And His communication with us is always, always, always filled with Love, because “God Is Love” 1 John 4:8.
Thank you, Father, for godly friends who encourage, exhort, and warn us with Your Truth. Help us to discern Your Truth through knowledge of Your Word and through Your Holy Spirit. We long to hear Your voice, however You choose to speak.
