He Will Be Called –
Ever wonder about the many names and titles that are used to describe Jesus? Here are a few more:
Lord, Good Shepherd, Savior, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Deliverer, Protector, Sustainer, Healer, Bread of Life, The Way, The Door, the Truth, The Living Water, The Word, The Son, Beloved Son, Holy One of Israel, Alpha and Omega, Immanuel, Merciful Savior, Redeemer, Master, Friend, and Brother.
Jesus is many things to us, to this world, to all creation… We must use many titles for Him, because He cannot be contained in a single word, concept, or idea… He is too vast for that. We may try to define Him, but any single definition is too limited for Him. We may try to narrow Him down to a few words and therefore understand Him, but it just isn’t possible to simplify Him; our limited minds and our limited vocabulary are woefully inadequate.
This list of Who He is, is without end, without any limitation of any kind…
And this Jesus is,
now, already, for you today,
exactly who you need Him to be.
Everlasting Father, Lord Jesus, help us to recognize both Your unlimited majesty and Your Love and nearness to us. Help us run to you for every need, every hope, You are our source… You are Everything.
