Today’s Encouragement is, “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.” Luke 18:1 NLT
Always Pray and Never Give Up –
(because we often need to be reminded)
Jesus then relates the story, a parable, a spiritual truth, and an eternal lesson concerning the importance of persisting in prayer. He summarizes with, “He will give justice to His own people, and quickly, but will He find faith in the earth?” (v7-8 My paraphrase.)
It takes faith to Always Pray and Never Give Up! We decide, we choose, to continue to trust Him, believe that He cares and hears and will respond to our prayers…
But please notice… if God answered every prayer immediately, there would be no need for either continuous prayer (always), nor persistent prayer. So, the delay (or so it seems to us) is essential! Because God knows exactly when, how, where, etc., to answer our prayers! He always acts in the best interest of His people!
My friend, please continue to trust Him, always pray, and don’t ever give up on God’s love and goodness. He does hear, and He will answer. The choice, to believe, and to persist in prayer, is ours!
Father God, help us to trust You and to always pray, never giving up in our hope for Your merciful intervention. We choose to trust! Please strengthen us!
