A New Person

Today’s Encouragement is, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2a NLT

A New Person –

We choose; we are given the power of choice!  We can choose to let God transform us into a new person, or, because we have the choice… we can choose not to allow this transformation!                    God is willing and able, but are we?

It’s somewhat frightening, intimidating to consider becoming a new person!  We don’t know that new one, how they will think, act, and react; they are a mystery to us.

Yet, we do know the old self —the one that hasn’t been transformed —too well.

So, will you allow yourself to imagine with me what the ‘New You’ might be like? (We may not be able to know this with certainty; we are only considering it.) “No mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9b

Is it possible that – this new person, the new you, might be:

Peaceful

Joyful

Loving

Kind

Patient

Wise

Hopeful

Faithful

Devoted

Dependable

Trusting

Might the “New Me” wear a smile each day?  Be confident of God’s presence, love, and protection?

Encouraging others, loving others, strengthening others, and sharing the Unlimited Love of God with anyone and everyone they encounter? Is it possible? Remember, we let God do this.  We don’t transform ourselves; He does!  We simply – Let Him!

Father, we choose now to “Let You transform us into a new person!”  We choose to Trust You!

Less Like Me
