Today’s Encouragement is, “He will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. That is where you should prepare our meal.” Mark 14:15 NLT
Already Set Up –
In Jerusalem, everyone was preparing for the Passover meal. It was like our Christmas or Thanksgiving meal, a celebration feast of thanksgiving for God’s protection and provision. Virtually everyone was going home or joining with others in the feast. Many people came to Jerusalem, the Holy City, during this season. And Jesus and His disciples did also.
And yet, there was a large empty dining room, already set up for the feast, which wasn’t spoken for? The city was packed!
It seems that someone heard from God and, in sincere faith, prepared this large room, setting everything up for a special, particular use. It was already set up; the place was already prepared!
Remember, Jesus said, “There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” John 14:2 NLT
Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us, one that is already set up, uniquely and personally just for you and me, and this place is in God’s home. No cartoon clouds, white robes, gold harps, and halos… but a real place prepared for you.
He knows we are coming, when and how, and He is ready for us. Our home is already set up!
Thank You, Father, for Your wonderful Grace and Love for us. It truly astounds us to recognize that You have already prepared a place for each of us, Your dearly loved, adopted children, in Your glorious home.
