Today’s Encouragement is, “The LORD says, ‘I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.’” Psalm 91:14-16 NLT
I Will –
We often mistakenly believe that our faith in God depends on our ability, effort, strength, or the good we do for Him. As if He needs anything!
This wonderful Psalm concludes with God speaking to us who choose to live in His shelter and who love Him! That’s it. We just love Him and choose to remain, dwell, and stay in His shelter; He does everything else!
Reread today’s verses. See what He – Will – do for us!
He Will – Rescue, protect, answer, be with, honor, reward, and give to us.
He is the source, the strength, the provider, and the protector, not us! We are sheep (Psalm 100:3), dust (Psalm 103:14), and He is Omnipotent- all-powerful! (Matthew 28:18)
He never says, “Maybe I will” or “If you’re good enough.”
He says, “I Will!” Confidently and definitely, “I’ve got you!”
However, we must initiate. He waits to be asked! He invites us to love, trust, and call on Him in prayer; then, when we respond in faith – He Will – do everything else!
Father, You are everything we need. You have promised to protect and provide for Your people. Help us look to You only, in faith, for our every need. You are The Source of every good thing!
