Today’s Encouragement is, “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. [2] Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.” Romans 5:1-2 NLT
Undeserved Privilege –
Let’s break this down:
- Because of what Jesus has done – Jesus has already accomplished for us, more than we could ever imagine.
- Because of our faith in Him – nothing we have done except believe in Jesus.
- Jesus has brought us – Because Jesus has already done this.
- Into this Undeserved Privilege – This is Grace, a gift, immensely greater than we could ever deserve or earn.
- Made right with God – Complete, finished, restored to our perfect and loving Father.
- At peace with God – as Adam was before his sin.
- We now – Jesus has already done immensely more than is needed.
- Joyfully – set free from all our sin, fear, worry, obligations, failures, and mistakes of the past, present, and future.
- Confidently – Because Jesus has done everything necessary for us, eternally and perfectly.
- Stand in Undeserved Privilege – This is our true condition, now, perfectly free, cleansed, reborn, standing firm, clothed with Christ, as deeply loved and favored by God as Jesus is!
- Look forward to sharing God’s Glory – We will be with God, accepted, loved, and immersed in His Glorious Presence.
Overwhelming?
Unimaginable?
Absolutely, Yes!
But my friend, this is Truth!
Father, help us continue to believe and keep our faith fixed on Jesus, as we trust every promise of Your Word.
