Today’s Encouragement is, “Day after day and night after night they keep on saying, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty- the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.’” Revelation 4:8b NLT
Holy Is The Lord –
We don’t do it very well. We don’t have a great example, no set of instructions. The few descriptions we do have are shrouded in mystery, visions of God, which few, then and now, experience. But of course, there is mystery and clouds of obscurity! We are considering the most important, most significant, most wonderful, and ultimately, Holy momentous experience in all Eternity!
Worship of the Eternal, Almighty God is completely indescribable, beyond human comprehension. Those who have glimpsed, tasted, and experienced even a moment of the awe of Worship are deeply and eternally touched in every way, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically, at an indescribable level.
And a hunger is created, one which cannot be satisfied in this life. One day this hunger will be perfectly fulfilled, not as a momentary experience, but for eternity. Complete fulfillment – every need met, perfectly fulfilled and overflowing with joy, love, and amazement in the Very Presence of God the Father, Son, and Spirit.
Yet, we can now experience the earthly version of Worship, and it is a wonderful, beautiful gift. It is for us, and it is for God, our offering to Him. Yet we know inherently, this is merely a taste of the joy, “the glory that will be revealed.” (Romans 8:18)
Father, we long to be in Your Holy Presence. Help us to do what we can here, with our earthly human limitations, to truly Worship You, with all we are.
